connect your game accounts and youtube.

below the video player there are several buttons, one of which let’s you connect the game to youtube. you may have to refresh the page for it to say “connected”. then you’re actively claiming drops from games like overwatch.

the “!drops” command doesn’t work in youtube chat.

claiming drops in twitch.

log into twitch and click the right top icon (your profile picture)

click the button that says “drops”

here you can see all the drops you claimed. to connect to other services and manage your connections, click “manage your connections”

from here you can see all available connections and manage them.

alternatively you can go to a streamer with drops enabled and click the pop up icon on top of his/her chat window about the drops. and connect from there.

silencing streams.

you may not be interested in watching a cringe let’s play for an hour just to get some sweet skins. don’t worry, there is a solution for that!

without turning off the audio of the streamer. you can right click on the browser panel and click “mute”.

this works on all browsers, including chrome, edge, vivaldi, ect.

chrome.
vivaldi.
microsoft edge.

this way the streaming service won’t know you’re not watching. keep the tab open though!

actually claiming the twitch drops.

after watching for the required time on twitch, you will have to claim the drops within 24 hours of getting them. so if you’re gonna close the tab, don’t forget to open the drops menu and clicking “claim” first. this is the purple icon under the item you’ve just received.

after claiming it will say “claimed”. you may have to refresh the pagina for the button to change status.

often the button will say “connect” while you’ve just connected. this is a bug. you can check if you are connected by connecting again. but it will likely not change status anyway. except for on the website of the game company or other drops provider. you are still connected though. no need to panic.

this was a extremely basic guide. i hope it was helpful.
